SR IT SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a Sr System Administrator to join our IT department. In this position, you’ll be responsible for managing our server and network infrastructures.


Sr System Administrator responsibilities include supervising and supporting operational applications, monitoring system performance and configuring new software and hardware including disaster recovery. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with various operating systems (mainly Microsoft).


Ultimately, you will ensure our software, hardware, servers and networks run smoothly.


Generic responsibilities

create and further develop our goals of full infrastructure management;

bring in new ideas of infrastructure management to help support and maintain the platform infrastructure;

create the tools and know-how to ensure our internal and external employees can master their job without delays;

accept and search out new challenges within the organization, question current practices and bring fresh ideas to the team and company as a whole;

troubleshoot and solve problems for all technologies and IT systems;

IT contracts and orders;

in an international and multicultural environment, interact and help fellow employees and other department;

be prepared to meet challenging goals, learn and develop yourself as you help grow the company;


Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:

configure internal systems;

install and support server/desktop/network devices and firewall technologies
(including operating system maintenance, application maintenance, image archive, disaster recovery);

upgrade the network infrastructure;

monitor, diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues;

provide operational applications support;

train new system users and set up their accounts;

support and coordinate installation and training of server and desktop technology for new projects;

provide mentoring to other Junior System Admins in the department and provides assistance to manager as needed on special projects related to job role

develop, coordinate and maintain procedures for equipment installation and configuration support of best practices, policies and procedures

participate in activities which improve departmental and organizational performance

interface directly with a wide variety of end users and technical counterparts in other division, facility, and corporate roles

have a good knowledge of applicable laws and data privacy policies.(???)

JOB PROFILE

Requirements

3+ years experience in a technical role Senior System Administrator directly supporting desktop and application servers in an Information Technology environment;

3+ years knowledge of Microsoft system administration;

GSuite and GCP experience;

VMWare & Vsphere experience;

Solid understanding of AD, DNS, DHCP and LAN/WAN networks;

Clear understanding of Enterprise security policies and system security techniques;

SAP basic knowledge desirable;

Require a strong knowledge of supported server, application, network, security systems, virus protection, and hardware configurations;

Experience with Linux administration desired, not required;

Good problem-solving, communication skills in an intercultural environment and good English knowledge are a must;

Team management abilities;

Ability to work independently and interact collaboratively/effectively with all levels of staff;

Demonstrates a customer orientation; establishes and maintains customer relationships;

Understands the business implications of technology decisions.
