• Management of complete certification process for Braun household products including work with external service providers and Certification Boards to understand requirements, what´s needed and timelines. Coordinate corrective action, if certification fails.
• The certification requirements for new initiatives/product changes in the target market countries need to be proactively followed and communicated to relevant internal functions in Neu-Isenburg and to the supervisor.
• Request test samples from R&D, communicate sample preparation with R&D. Organize shipment and interaction with testing vendor.
• Evaluate incoming certificates and distribute appropriately. Transfer international test protocols into national certifications. Issue Certificate of Conformity - EC DoC.
• Provide approbation assessment proactive to project teams and evaluate artwork, use instruction and type-plate for certification relevant entries.
• Maintain certification: renew in-time.
• Provide RA assessment and input to management of issues with in-market products.


• Degree in electrical engineering or Mechatronic or Physics from University/University of Applied Science (FH). Preferable with 1 year experience in approbation work.
• Knowledge of IEC, European, UL standards, electro-magnetic compatibility, Ecodesign requirements of energy related products (ErP), RoHS and Reach of electrical devices.
• Ability to work with internal partners and external vendors to ensure timely availability of certificate relative to project Critical Path schedule and resolution of issues.
• Strong communication skills in German and English.
• Experience in interacting with outside vendors, certification boards and authorities.
• Experience or knowledge of high-volume manufacture including manufacturing procedures and processes preferable.
• Experience of working with an Asian & Eastern European supply base is preferable.
• Ability to work under high-pressure across multiple projects despite potential changing circumstances.
