R&D PROJECT MANAGER

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Coffee Platform’s Product development team is looking for a talented engineer willing to master results as project manager within the NPD's process (new product development) . The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2-3 years of specific experience in consumer goods company that create valuable and technological products for everyday life. You will be responsible for one or more product development projects in terms of: planning, risk assessment,cost, timing and quality control, documentation and reporting towards the product development team,internal and external clients, management. Project Management/Leadership: Responsible for medium scale Project Management of cross-functional teams of marketing, quality assurance, engineering, and product development promoting a team-building atmosphere. Consult with all internal (Product Development) and external (Marketing, Operations, Engineering, etc.) clients to provide guidance on process development based on final project objective. Function effectively as a Product Developer, Project Manager, Planner, Coordinator, Communicator, and Technical Expert. Must be able to consult with technical experts and product leaders on design and quality improvements. Must have the ability to upscale to manufacturing and to foresee processing risks and opportunities. Must have the ability to manage parallel and sequential project task opportunities and to identify and communicate project costs and timing opportunities and risks. Technical Knowledge and Expertise: Responsible for leveraging an understanding of technical issues in the development new products. Exhibit innovation in discovery, advancement, and evaluation of new technologies which can have significant impact on new products, improved products or processes, and/or capital avoidance. Leverage solid product development skills and creativity/creative approach to assess technology and problem solve. Effectively document all work including technical plans, experimental reports, plant trials, and specifications.

The position requires strong project management/leadership, communication, organization, and team working skills. You adapt fast to changing priorities, unstructured virtual teams, can interact with external consultants and suppliers, and can support them at connecting and working with the team. You will be an essential part of a team which works together to achieve great results and it is the front runner in the deployment of the project, to make it exceed each challenges and to meet all specifications and expectations. The ideal candidate holds a B.S. degree, preferred being Masters in Engineering, Product Engineering, Technology or equivalent. Past experience in engineering or r&d roles will be a preferential title. An excellent knowledge of English is required. The position is based in Treviso-Italy but travels are required.
